I got started in photography when my children were newborn and I learned the value of capturing each stage.  It grew in to a passion and slowly that passion evolved into a career.  I studied Photography at Edinburgh college and opened my studio in Musselburgh later that year, becoming a Newborn and family photographer was the dream and I can now say I’m living it!

 I honestly believe being a mother first is what gives me the ability to be an amazing family photographer.  I’m not ashamed to say I will fall in love with every child I photograph, I will see them as a mother see’s them and I will hopefully capture everything you love about them.

My children are so big now, they amaze me every day with how fast they have changed and with every new little version of themselves they become the old version disappears forever.  Our memories are all we have left, that and the photographs we take along the way.

My images, I hope, will capture this moment in time for you.  This stage, the way they curl into your arms, the smiles they have just learned to give you.  That first tooth all the way through to that first missing tooth.  

When you book your session the first thing we will do is have a consultation, either over the phone or in person at the studio.  I want to get to know you and your family and what you hope to get from the session.  I’ll also give you tips on what to wear and how to prepare.  At your session I will be giving you all tips on how to stand and pose so that we have everyone looking their best.  I will do some small edits to the photographs, we want you to look your best so I remove anything temporary like a pimple or a scratch and we sharpen up the details and make sure the light is perfect.  All this work goes into making your photographs as close to real life as possible so that you can look back and remember this period in time, before it disappears too!
